Introduction
Welcome to Astraya. We built this app to give you deeply personal, AI-powered astrology and tarot readings — and that means you trust us with personal information. We take that seriously.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We will never sell your data. We will never use it for advertising. Everything we collect exists to make your readings more meaningful.
By using Astraya, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name and email address, used to create and identify your account
- Birth data — your date of birth, birth time (optional), and birth location (optional). This is the foundation of your personalised readings and is never shared externally
- Reading history — the spreads you have performed and the readings generated for you, stored so you can revisit them
- App preferences — your chosen reading style, active tarot deck, and notification settings
- Usage data — anonymous information about how you use the app (screens visited, features used), used only to improve the experience
- Payment information — we do not store your payment details. All transactions are handled by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat
How We Use Your Information
- To generate your personalised daily horoscope, tarot readings, and soul map — your birth data is sent to our AI system (powered by Anthropic Claude) to produce your reading
- To save and display your reading history within the app
- To manage your account, subscription, and deck collection
- To send you daily horoscope notifications, if you have enabled them
- To improve Astraya — anonymous usage patterns help us understand which features matter most
Your birth data is used exclusively to generate your readings. It is never used for profiling, advertising, or shared with third parties beyond what is described below.
Third-Party Services
Astraya uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Stores your account data and reading history securely. Privacy policy
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — generates your AI readings. Your birth data and reading context are sent to Anthropic's API to produce each reading. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models. Privacy policy
- RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and in-app purchases. Handles subscription state; does not store payment card details. Privacy policy
- Apple — app distribution, payment processing (App Store), and push notifications via APNs. Privacy policy
- Expo / EAS — powers our app build and update infrastructure. Privacy policy
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase, hosted in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Reading history is retained indefinitely so you can revisit past readings. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data (via the Profile screen in the app)
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your reading history
- Opt out of push notifications at any time (via device settings)

Children's Privacy
Astraya is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you through the app. Your continued use of Astraya after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
